My kidney stone diet
This is what I have been eating to prevent and fight kidney stones.
Barley porridge soak them over night and cook for 35-45 minutes
Organic Coconut oil, quite much to each meal
Seltin (instead of salt)
flaxseeds (heated up to 175-250 degrees Celsius to neutralise cyanogenic glycosides)
organic natural yogurt
Solgar's Magnesium Citrate 2 tablets a day
Potassium 2 tablets a day
Dandelion tablets Dandelion tablets 2 tablets before each meal.
Juniper berries 2 berries a day, (hard to digest, don't eat too much.)
Chanca Piedra tablets first 5-6 per day, later perhaps 3 per day.
Dandelion tea (roots) very effective, + honey, Bergamott, mint oil.
Apple cider vinegar
After 6 weeks on this diet, I feel that this diet has helped, I seldom have pain from kidney stones now. But after one month on this diet I consulted a doctor. That was also about one month after my two pain attacks. The doctor didn't think I had a kidney stone, but since I already had my attack, the big stones where already gone.
When I began with this diet my breakfasts consisted of Barley porridge salted with Seltin, about 30 to 90 grams Coconut oil in the porridge, topped with peeled apple and a little flaxseeds. Often also natural youghurt on the side, a little oat sometimes. Green tea to drink.
4-5 months later I have started eating wheat berries and oat berries
I have also realized that Barley that is not cooked long enough is hard to digest, causes stomach pain. Cook Barley long time! Cook it for 35-34 minutes, just put extra much water in the sauce pan.
Lunch/dinner: beans if different kinds: white beans, black beans, kidney beans, Pinto beans, Chickpeas, lentils, Broccoli, (white rice sometimes) Coconut oil or rapseed oil, Seltin. Water to drink. Peeled apple for dessert (or in the food.)
Evening: same as breakfast most often. I take the supplement tablets to the breakfast and main meal. If you want this diet to help you loose weight don't take too much Coconut oil. Suggestion: try to not eat so much in the evening. Fasting once a week is also good, drinking plenty of water or green tea.
Make sure to drink enough. Flaxseeds prevents constipation. Eating one or two table spoons of Flaxseed to breakfast is good.
The cyanogenic glycosides in flax seeds disappears when heating to 175-250 degrees Celsius. You can also soak the flaxseeds in water or put them in the porridge. Perhaps you want oat milk or Coconut milk to the porridge? It's up to you, but I only take Coconut oil and sometimes a little rapseed oil. You can also eat youghurt on the side. Mix natural youghurt with water to drink in a glass.
Cook Barley for 35-45 minutes
You must soak Barley in water over night. You must also cook Barley long time enough otherwise it's too heavy for the stomach, it can be hard to digest. Cook Barley for 35-45 minutes. I had some stomach pain a few times. I have now realized that my Barley was not cooked long enough.
Make sure to drink enough liquids. Avoid black tea. Drinking too much black tea can cause indigestion.
Kidney stone diet: Porridge of Barley, Oat berries, Wheat berries, Coconut oil, Rapeseed oil, Seltin, peeled apple (raw not cooked), flaxseeds, cammomile tea, youghurt (a little oats), tablets of: Chanca-Piedra, Potassium Citrate, Magnesium Citrate.
You feel saturation long time with this breakfast.
You don't get hungry so fast. You can manage a whole day. You don't have to eat in the evening.
When you eat zucchini peel it.
I think that the oxalic acid is in the peel of the zucchini. Perhaps this is a good advice regarding any fruit or vegetable and oxalic acid. Peel them.

This diet does not contain any fried, grilled or toasted food.

Your healthy food habits and good health books learned me to cook my Barley long enough (up to 35-45 minutes) and also that, for me anyway, it's good to avoid drinking black tea for a while since I have been drinking it really much for a long time.

So now I drink green tea. And the salt.. yeah I try to eat less. Too much salt is not good for you I know. I use Seltin instead.
